Saying Goodbye to a Dear Friend

By: Rosemary Frieborn

It was with such sadness that we said goodbye to Dick Swenson this past year as he rode off into retirement. Dick was the Director of Animal Control and one of the most compassionate individuals that I have had the pleasure to meet. He believed in building a team and he always listened to EVERYONE. With a lifetime of Saturdays ahead of him, I wish him good health and much happiness ? his accomplishments at Animal Control will live on. As for me, there isn?t a day that goes by that I don?t miss his jovial spirit and shin to kick. Maybe, just maybe boredom will soon set in and he?ll be back.

New Do?s for Doggies

The generosity of our members allowed the Friends organization to purchase a Challengair 9000 professional animal grooming dryer. As the weather turns cold we?ll still be able to bath and groom our shelter dogs.
