AbuseBox Reward Fund
Serving ElDorado, Placer, Sacramento, Nevada, Yolo and Yuba counties
The number of unsolved animal abuse cases is staggering. Oftentimes, a reward offered brings forward individuals who assist in prosecuting these cases. Through a generous donation from the Willingham's, Friends of Placer County Animal Shelter can now pledge the initial reward money for any animal abuse case in the above mentioned counties, to help start the process.
There are three eligibility requirements in order to receive a pledge:
- You must agree to post flyers in the area where the abuse is known to have occurred, which includes the name and phone number of the person investigating the case
- You must rally media coverage; newspaper and television. The more people that know about the incident, the more likely someone will step forward with information
- You must solicit additional reward pledges/funds from other sources, i.e., HSUS, public etc.
